Steve Tarvin is worth another look
July 10, 2010
DALTON —
July 20 is Election Day, yet again. What are you looking for in someone to send to Washington for the 9th District? On June 8 the 9th District voted to send Tom Graves to Washington as our congressman until the primary election which will take place on Tuesday, July 20.
Tom Graves is a career politician and is backed by the Republican Party, backed over other Republicans who are running in the same race, why do you think that is? It could be that the party already knows that he will vote the way they want, even if it has nothing to do with the Constitution or what is best for the country or our district.
Mr. Graves is also having problems with a lender which feels he should pay back a business loan of $2 million plus. Mr. Graves came up with about 18 reasons why he should not have to repay the loan. Does this sound like someone you want to represent you in Washington? Once again it seems that we are sending someone to Washington that does not feel that they have to play by the same rules as the rest of us. In addition it seems they live under a different code of honor from the rest of us.
Yes, it is true that I am in favor of another candidate; however, even if I were not I could not vote for Mr. Graves. I started out with an open mind and a blank ballot. After a number of forums and a lot of research I narrowed the field to just two candidates and then to only one.
I would ask you to take a long, but a quick look (the election is only a few days off) at Mr. Steve Tarvin. Mr. Tarvin is not a politician. He is a husband and father of 40 years, believes in pro-life, traditional marriage, and is a successful businessman and a life member of the NRA. Believes that the government should be on a budget and not spend beyond its means, he backs the Fair Tax. Opposes Obama care and illegal immigration. Also and very important, Mr. Tarvin feels that the only way for this government to operate is by the Constitution as established by our founding fathers.
